KUR'AN'DA TANITILAN MODEL ŞAHSİYET, HZ. EYYÛB

Abstract

Kur'an yaşadıkları toplumda peygamberlerin öne çıkmış, örnek şahsiyetler olduklarından bahsetmiştir. Kur'an, bu model şahsiyetler yoluyla mesajını sunmayı tercih etmiştir. Bu örneklik hem kendi toplumuna hem de daha sonra gelen toplumlara yönelik bir rehberliktir. Kur'an'ın geneli dikkate alındığında bu modelliklerin geniş bir yer tuttuğu rahatlıkla görülebilir. Kur'an'da model bir şahsiyet olarak takdim edilen peygamberlerden bir tanesi de Hz. Eyyûb'tur. Zira o, Allah tarafından peygamber olarak seçilmiştir. Peygamberler, Allah tarafından elçi olarak seçilmelerinin yanında toplumlarında ahlak ve yaşantılarıyla da öne çıkmış bireylerdir. Bütün peygamberî gelenekte olduğu gibi Hz. Eyyûb de Allah tarafından çeşitli bela ve musibetlerle imtihana tabi tutulmuştur. Çünkü o bedeni, malı ve ailesi ile ilgili çeşitli sıkıntılara maruz kalmış ve sabrı sayesinde bütün bunların üstesinden gelmiştir. Gösterdiği sabrı ve Allah'a yaptığı dua sayesinde kaybettikleri misliyle kendisine geri verilmiştir. Onun bütün bu musibetlere karşı göstermiş olduğu sabrı onun modelliğini ortaya koyan çok önemli bir unsurdur. O bütün bu imtihanlara maruz kalırken kendisinin iletişimde olduğu çeşitli şahıslar vardır. Bunlar eşi, çocukları ve arkadaşlarıdır. Kur'an bunların arasından özellikle hanımını öne çıkarmıştır. Öyle ki Kur'an'da hastalığı sırasında hanımıyla ilgili yaptığı yeminin yerine getirilmesini istenir. Bu husus, peygamberlerin verdiği sözleri yerine getirmeleri ve güvenilirlikleri açısından oldukça önemlidir. Çünkü kişi bu imtihan sürecinde bazen eşini, çocuklarını veya arkadaşlarını kaybedebilir. Fakat ister hepsini isterse sadece birini kaybetsin ona düşen güzel bir sabırdır. Çünkü model olma, ancak bu çeşit olaylarla karşılaşıp onların üstesinden geldikçe ortaya çıkan bir durumdur. Kur'an'ın bu kıssayı anlatmasının sebebi Hz. Eyyûb kıssası bağlamında hem peygamberi ve mü'minleri teselli etmek, hem de onlara rehberlik edip örneklik göstermektir. Ayrıca mü'minlerde bu olayı düşünmeli ve ondan ders çıkarmalıdır. Bu kıssa bağlamında da görüleceği üzere peygamber de olsa her insan yaşadığı hayatta çeşitli sıkıntılar ve ıstıraplara maruz kalabilir. Yalnız bunlara sabreden ve bir serzenişte bulunmayan insan, ancak rabbinin hoşnutluğunu kazanabilir.

Kur'an mentions about prophets as model personalities outshined in the society they had lived. Kur'an has preferred to present its message through these model personalities. This exemplary is intended to be a guidance both for his own community and the societies came after. Considering general of the Kur'an, it can easily seen that these exemplaries hold a place of wide range. One of the prophets being introduced as model figures in Kur'an is Hz. Ayyûb. For he was chosen by Allah (SWT) as a prophet. Prophets are the prominent individuals came forward in society by their moral values and life styles, besides chosen as messenger by Allah (SWT). As it is in all prophetic tradition, Hz. Ayyûb had also been tested by Allah with various trouble and calamities. Since he has been exposed to a variety of troubles related to his body, goods and his family, and he has overcome all of them with patience. Thanks to his patience showed and prayer to Allah (SWT) what he lost was given back to him in fold. His patience demonstrated against all these evils is a very important characteristic that put forth his exemplary. There are kinds of persons he has been in contact while he was undergoing this tests. These are his spouse, his children and his friends. Among these, Kur'an especially has emphasized and put forward his lady. So that, in the Kur'an it is asked to fulfill his oath made about his lady during the disease. This matter is rather important in terms of prophets' reliability and to fulfill their promises. For, sometimes one may lose his spouse, children or friends during this trial process. But, whether he lose all of them or one of them, his task is to be just patient in beauty. Since being an exemplary is a position that emerges only when one faces and overcomes with these kinds of events. The reason of the Kur'an telling this tale is to console both Prophet Muhammed (SAW) and the believers, and also to guide and show them an examplary in the context of Hz. Ayyûb's story. Beside this, the believers should also draw lessons from thinking this event. As it can be seen in the context of this story, every human, even if he is a prophet, he can be exposed to a variety of problems and experience suffering in life. Only those who can be patient with these and are not in a reproach earn the good pleasure of his Lord.
