Hemşirelik Eğitiminde Öğrencilerin Yaratıcı Düşünce Becerilerinin İncelenmesi (Gümüşhane İli Örneği)

Abstract

Bu çalışma bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini belirlemek için yapılmıştır. Yaratıcılık, gerçekte olmayan bir şeyi yaratmak değil var olan şeyi ortaya çıkarmaktır. Sorun çözmenin sadece insan zekası ile ilgili olmadığı yaratıcı zekayla da ilgili olduğu belirtilmektedir. Hemşirelik bir sorun çözme becerisidir. Hemşirelik süreci ise hemşirenin problem çözme ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini birleştirip etkili bir çözüm bulma yöntemidir. Bu sebeple hemşirelik eğitim müfredatında ezbere dayalı bir sistem değil de öğrencilerin yaratıcılık, sorun çözme becerilerini geliştirici bir sistem kullanılmalıdır. Tanımlayıcı tipte yapılan araştırma Nisan-Mayıs 2017 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini, Gümüşhane Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümü öğrencileri (n=400) oluşturdu. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %67,1’i kadın ve %59,2’si 21-24 yaş grubunda, %60’nda gelir gidere eşit olarak belirtilmiştir. Öğrencilerin %24,3’ü Karadeniz, %20,4’ü Akdeniz, bölgesinde yaşamaktadır. Ayrıca, bireysel yenilikçiliğin 5 kategorisi açısından ölçek sonuçları ele alındığında, çalışmamızda 46 puan altı alan 158 öğrencinin %62,4 oranıyla beşinci kategoride (gelenekçiler) yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin büyük oranda gelenekçiler grubuna girdiği saptanmış olup bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda yaratıcılıkla ilgili eğitim programlarına gereksinim olduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmamızda öğrencilerin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri incelendiğinde öğrencilerin yenilikçilik düzeyinin düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlar açısından bakıldığında hemşirelik müfredatında öğrencilerin problem çözme becerilerini artırıcı ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini geliştirici konulara yer verilmesi gerekmektedir.

This study was conducted to determine the creative thinking skills of the nursing students of a university. Creativity is not creating something that is not in reality, but revealing what exists. It is stated that problem solving is also related to creative intelligence, which is not only related to human intelligence. Nursing is a problem-solving skill. The nursing process is a method by which the nurse combines problem solving and creative thinking skills and finds an effective solution. For this reason, a system that improves the creativity and problem solving skills of students should be used instead of a memorization system in nursing education curriculum. A descriptive study was conducted between April-May 2017. The universe of the research was composed of students (n = 400) from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department of Gümüşhane University. 67,1% of the students who participated in the survey stated that they are female and 59,2% are in the 21-24 age group, 60% are equal to the income and the most frequent is the 20.4% of the Mediterranean, 20.4% of the Blacksea. In addition, when the results of the scale were considered in terms of 5 categories of individual innovation, it was determined that 158 students who were under 46 points in our study were in the fifth category (traditionists) with 62.4. It has been determined that the students who participated in the study entered into the group of traditionists in a big way and this result suggests that the training programs related to creativity are needed. When we examined the individual innovation levels of students in our study, it was seen that the level of innovation of the students was low. From the point of view of these results, nursing curriculum should provide students with opportunities to improve problem-solving skills and develop creative thinking skills.
