Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmelerin iktisadi büyüme üzerindeki etkisi: Geçiş ekonomileri örneği

Abstract

Bilgi toplumuna geçişin bir sonucu olarak, bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmeler son yıllarda büyümenin önemli bir belirleyicisi durumuna gelmiştir. Bu yeni ekonomik yapı, ülkelerin kalkınma ve büyüme stratejilerine yansımış, bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri sağladığı olanaklarla rekabet gücü elde etmede temel unsur haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri ile iktisadi büyüme ilişkisini geçiş ekonomileri için incelemektir. 1994-2011 dönemini kapsayan çalışmada statik panel veri analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişme geçiş ekonomilerinde iktisadi büyümeyi olumlu olarak etkilemektedir.

As a result of the transition to an information society, advances in information and communication technologies have become an important determinant of growth in recent years. This new economic structure reflected in countries development and growth strategies, the opportunities provided by information and communication technologies has become a key element in achieving competitiveness. The aim of this study is to research the relationship between information and communication technologies and economic growth for transition economies. In this study, covering the period 1994- 2011 static panel data analysis technique was used. According to the results, development of information and communication technologies has a positive effect on economic growth in the sample of transition economies.
