The Technical Construction of Personalities, its Social and Psychological Dimensions in The Novel The Day The Leader was Killed by Naguib Mahfouz

Abstract

This research deal with the introduction of the characters, and its social and psychological dimensions in the novel The Day the leader was killed of the Najeeb Mehfooz, because character has central importance in the narrative process on the one hand, so it is the foundation of the novel, And conscious force which revolve narrating elements are all in its orbit, and the solely element that intersect with it all these elements, and with a view to shed light on the methods and sources of narration, which are invested the novelist with wide experience in the construction and its presentation to benefit the reader on other hand. In order to this character should be viable in the imagination of the reader, it's necessary to know the social level and the associated financial state, social class and the level of knowledge etc, and to find out the psychological level and the associated sense of satisfaction or exasperation or accept or reject or hatred or rancor or other things in the society of the novelist in which that character is living.
