Çerkeşîzâde Mehmet Tevfîk Efendi ve Akaid risaleleri

Abstract

Çerkeşîzâde Mehmet Tevfîk Efendi XIX. yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti'nde yaşamış önemli bir ilim adamıdır. Hem dini hem de beşeri ilimlerde çalışmalar yapan Çerkeşîzâde, Kelam, Felsefe, Arap Dili gibi pek çok alanda eser yazmıştır. Dolayısıyla Çerkeşîzâde'nin çok yönlü ve farklı dallarda yetkin bir ilim adamı olduğu söylenebilir. Ayrıca önemli bir devlet adamı olan Çerkeşîzâde hayatının çeşitli dönemlerinde pek çok devlet görevinde bulunmuştur. Çalışmamız Çerkeşîzâde'nin Osmanlı Türkçesi ile kaleme aldığı Miftâhu'l Akâid, el İtkân fî Tahkîki'l- İmân ve Meziyyet-i İslâmiyye adlı risalelerinde yer verdiği İslam inanç esasları ile ilgili görüşlerini ihtiva etmektedir. Bu bağlamda onun itikadi görüşleri ve yorumları sistematik bir şekilde incelenmektedir. Ayrıca söz konusu dönemde Çerkeşîzâde'nin Kelam ilmine yapmış olduğu katkılara değinilmektedir.

Sir Charkashîzadah Mehmet Tawfiq is an important scientist who had lived at nineteenth century in the Ottomon Empire. Charkashîzadah who had studied on both religious sciences and humanities and social sciences had written at a great number of fields such as Islamic Theology, Philosophy and the Arabic Language. Consequently it can be said that he was a well-rounded and extremely competent scientist in different branches of science. In addition, Charkashîzadah who was a great statesman had had many government assignments in various periods of his life. Our study has contained Charkashîzadah's views about the principles of Islamic belief that he had given a place in his pamphlets named Miftâhu'l-Akâid, el-İtkân fî Tahkîki'l-İmân and Meziyyet-i İslâmiyyah which he had written in the Ottoman Turkish language. In this context, his creedal opinions and comments have been systematically examined. Furthermore, Charkashîzadah's contributions to the science of Islamic Theology have been mentioned in the period in question.
