Panoptikondan synoptikona gözetim toplumu ve gözetimin farkındalığı üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Tarih boyunca neredeyse tüm toplumlarda gözetim; toplumsal denetimi sağlayan mekanizma olarak işlev görmüştür. Toplumsal ilişkilerin meydana geldiği ilk günden bu yana gözetim; toplum olarak denetimin sağlanması ve egemenlik bağlantısını kurarak bunu devam ettirmenin önemli araçlarından biri haline gelmiştir. Gözetimin insan hayatına her an için etki edebilen bir özelliği vardır. Toplum siyasi, sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel gelişmelerle birlikte değişimler ve dönüşümler geçirdikçe bu değişimlere uygun olarak gözetim de yeni şekiller almıştır. Bu bağlamda gözetimin geçirdiği toplumsal dönüşümler üç evrede incelenmiştir. Tez'in son aşamasında ise hemen her alanda gözetime maruz kalan bireylerin toplumsal gözetime karşı farkındalıklarını incelenmek amacıyla bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Böylece gözetime maruz kalan insanların toplumsal olarak teknolojinin yenileşmesiyle birlikte gözetimin birey üzerindeki farkındalığı ölçülmeye çalışılmıştır.

Throughout history, surveillance in almost all communities; has served as a mechanism for social control. Surveillance since the first day of social relations; it has become one of the important means of maintaining control by establishing community control and linking sovereignty. Surveillance has a characteristic that can affect people's life at any moment. As the society has undergone changes and transformations along with political, social and economic cultural developments, in accordance with these changes, surveillance has also taken new forms. In this context, the social transformations of surveillance are examined in three phases. At the last stage of the thesis, a research was carried out to examine the attitudes of the individuals who are exposed to almost every area in the face of social surveillance. Thus, people who have been exposed to surveillance have sought to measure the awareness of the individual over the surveillance with the renewal of technology socially.
