This chapter aims to obtain various inferences about the health systems of countries by using multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods on drug consumption data. Pharmaceutical consumption is seen as a useful resource for assessing the performance of health systems. This chapter aims to comprehensively analyse the health systems of countries by combining CoCoSo and TOPSIS-Sort-B methods. Pharmaceutical consumption will be used to assess the performance of countries' health systems for each group within the framework of anatomical therapeutic chemical (ATC) classification. For each ATC class, countries will be ranked by CoCoSo method and classified as good-medium-poor by TOPSIS-S ort-B method. The findings have the potential to be a valuable resource for health systems managers, policy makers, health economists, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders. It will also serve as a practical guide for researchers who want to apply MCDM in the field of health. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. All rights reserved.
