The urinary system plays an important role in establishing and maintaining homeostasis of the body and has functions such as excretion of metabolic wastes and maintenance of fluidelectrolyte balance. Poor functioning of this system also affects other systems of the body. In diseases affecting the urinary system, the patient may encounter many problems. It is important and necessary that nurses who are in direct and constant contact with patients have sufficient knowledge of history taking, methods of physical examination and diagnostic tests. © 2023 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
