Event Tourism in Turkey

Abstract

Turkey is a country with many natural, cultural, and historical attractions, as well as many infrastructure and superstructures such as transportation, accommodation facilities, food and beverage businesses, and communication infrastructure. These features increase the event tourism potential of Turkey as in many types of tourism. Offering unforgettable event tourism opportunities by combining all its touristic supplies, Turkey hosts many different events from music festivals to shopping festivals. There are many national, international, and local events organized in Turkey, and most of these events are followed by large masses. In this chapter, event tourism activities and event tourism potential in Turkey, which connects the Asian and European continents, have been written. © 2022 by Apple Academic Press, Inc.
