This study aims to determine the perceptions of women in menopause living in Turkey regarding this period and associated problems, which has shown that some women are negatively affected by the menopause period and have difficulty coping with the effects of menopause. The study has a basic qualitative research design, and the sample was determined by using the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The effects and characteristics of menopause themes are included in the category of perception of menopause among women, and the themes of positive and negative perspectives are included in the category of perspective on menopause. It is reported that women experience feelings of fear, uncertainty, irritability, anxiety/worry, introversion, relaxation, and happiness during menopause. Our study has shown that some women are negatively affected by the menopause period and have difficulty coping with the effects of menopause.
