International Continence Society defined urinary incontinence as an objectively demonstrable involuntary loss of urine with its social or hygienic consequences. Urinary incontinence (UI) is a serious problem which may affect a person’s entire social life. As a medical, social and hygienic problem which lowers quality of life of the sufferers, urinary incontinence (UI) is widely seen among women. Although it does not directly threaten the life of the woman, since woman’s family and social life significantly deteriorate both from physical and psychological aspects, this problem should be meticulously considered and evaluated. © 2014, Logos Medical Publishing.
