Fizik Laboratuarlarına Yönelik Hazırlanan Bir Hizmet İçi Eğitim Programının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Eğitim sisteminin en önemli unsuru olan öğretmenlerin mesleğe hazırlanmaları hizmet öncesi dönemde öğretmen eğitimi programlarıyla olurken, mesleki gelişimleri kendilerine yönelik hazırlanan hizmet içi eğitim programları yardımıyla sağlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda merkezi veya yerel yönetim tarafından öğretmenler için çok sayıda hizmet içi eğitim programının düzenlendiği fakat bir çok durumda başarılı sonuçların alınamadığı bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, fizik öğretmenlerinin laboratuar çalışmaları konusunda mesleki gelişimlerini sağlamak için üniversite destekli olarak geliştirilen bir hizmet içi eğitim programını değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla hazırlanan hizmet içi kurs programı Trabzon il merkezindeki okullarda çalışan otuz fizik öğretmenine on gün süreli ve altmış ders saatinde uygulanmış olup, araştırma verileri tutum anketleri, başarı testi ve uygulama sınavı yardımıyla toplandı. Verilerden, kursa katılan fizik öğretmenlerinin tamamına yakınının kurs süresince uygulanan etkinliklerin amaçlara ulaşmada ve yaklaşık üçte ikisinin ise yeni bilgi, beceri ve tutum kazandırmada etkili olduğunu düşündükleri belirlendi. Buna ilaveten, ilgili tüm araştırma verileri, öğretmenler için hizmet içi eğitim kursları geliştirilirken, üniversite ile işbirliği yapılması ve hizmet içi kurs geliştirmenin temel unsurlarına dikkat edilmesi durumunda, düzenlenen kursun oldukça başarılı olacağını ortaya koymaktadır. ABSTRACT While teachers’ who are the most important factors of educational system, professional preparation to be by the way of teacher development programs in the pre service period, their professional development is provided by the help of in service education programs. In this context, it is known that while local or central administrations developed many in service education programs for teachers, however, most of them could not be successful. The purpose of this study is to evaluate an in service course program which is developed with the help of university partnership for physics teachers and aimed to provide their professional developments about science laboratory works. The course was developed based on this purpose was implemented to thirty physics teachers who work in the city center of Trabzon and lasted at ten days and sixty course hours. Data gathered by the help of attitude questionnaires, achievement tests and a practical examination. It was concluded that nearly all the participant physics teachers found the course activities effective to reach the aims of the course and 2/3 of them found it successful to gain them new knowledge, skills and attitudes. In addition, all the related research data showed that if a course developed by the help of university partnership and takes into consideration of the basic factors to develop an in-service course, it will mostly be successful.
